HOUSING & MOVING AROUND

The Future of Transport

What are some important things that you believe should be incorporated into a new Transport strategy?

To create a new paradigm in transport, we believe, the system must pump recourses into local innovation. We are already seeing huge issues with supply chains and parts.
We want to talk to those who have experience with the system that exists today. Those who have been frustrated with the system, see where it has gone wrong, and want to create a template with us for a new framework.

  • Local manufacturing of vehicles?
  • Local development of new fuel sources?
  • Local development of ride sharing services?
  • "Small Vehicle" development for cities and urban areas; like scooters, E-bikes etc?
  • New forms of air travel and fuel developed?

The Future of Housing

What are some important things that you believe should be incorporated into a new Housing strategy?

To create a new paradigm in housing, we believe, the system must shift from a highly bureaucratic and disjointed system, and move towards a paradigm that welcomes innovation and flexibility.

We want to talk to those who have experience with the system that exists today. Those who have been frustrated with the system, see where it has gone wrong, and want to create a template with us for a new framework.

  • Remove unnecessary layers of bureaucracy?
  • Invite innovation around concepts such as; tiny house communities, joint ownership of land?
  • Incentives for owners of large plots of land to section off areas for community good (habitation, healing retreat spaces, recreation, permaculture etc.)
  • Greater recourses put towards the production and refinement of locally sourced building materials?
  • Investigations into using hemp, bamboo and other strong, sustainable materials?
  • Potentially adopt long term rental/ lease strategies', to give renters a sense of long term security (similar to Switzerland)?
  • Community owned lots within each neighborhood (large sections with dwellings) set aside for crisis housing and the growing of food to share within the neighborhood?
People are employed to develop and care for these spaces?
